Great Day to Play

Our group along with two visitors from Texas. Chuck & Elaine Flanagan from Georgetown Texas have played 2 days in the past week. They fit right in with the group and we look forward to their next visit! Chuck & Elaine in the white caps & tops.

Friday Pickle & Burgers

After a fun morning of Pickleball in very humid conditions the players took up Brenda and Doug Dundon's invitation for burgers and a dip. What a spread they put on!  Great burgers and salads galore.  What a great setting for recovery from a few hours of Pickleball. What a beautiful home, an awesome and great hospitality. Holy smokes...i think I will put a sponge I'm pocket for play. Bring lots of liquids and will set up chairs in the shade. 

City of Kingston

Well!!!  After not hearing from the City of Kingston for a week I sent a follow up email to Neal Unsworth the Parks Development Manager for the city and one of the people I met with last week. His email response was returned quickly and it was brief. "We have discussed this internally and should have a response to you in a couple of weeks". 

Kingston, if nothing else is consistently bureaucratic.  Given that we are planning to conduct the program at no cost to the city in public space it is absolutely mind blowing what is at issue that would take 2 weeks to make a decision!   I will now phone the Paul Turner the Programs Supervisor who has been great and the other gentleman who I have been dealing with.  But I think the next step will have to work the city council.  So if anyone has a good contact please share with me and we can then try that avenue.

Yes sir! We had a great morning of Pickleball this morning with nearly perfect weather !!

We Did it!!!!

Yes, sir we did the painting in short order!  Our little team of dedicated Picklers took 2 hours and a gallon of asphalt paint to complete the job but we now have 4 courts to play on!!
